There I go again. Always with the dumps, me. They're not even nice, full ones.
It's sad, really.
Also wow. I thought I'd forgotten how to do horses.
Pokemon (c) - Pokemon Company
EDIT: Okay, I've decided that instead of constantly submitting new files, I'm just going to keep modifying this one. But only when/if I do pokemon in this particular style.
So here I've taken off Lopunny and Banette since 1) they weren't in the style and 2) I didn't like them anyway.
That cat thing at the top is Espeon, not Mew, and that pink blob is Ditto, not Grimer/Muk.
And I thought that little progress shot might be interesting.
EDIT 2: Updated with Bellsprout, Mew, Dragonair, a redone Haunter, Banette and Ninetales.
I love your ink work. If I may ask, do you sketch out the drawings and rub them out after the ink has dried? Or do you just draw straight with the ink?
Yeah, always a rought sketch first. XD Sometimes if I'm feeling really adventurous then I'll just go for it, but for these ones specifically, I drew first.
I thought Okami while I was drawing them! XD I never actually intended them to look like that and then I was like "Uhh I could do these in that Japanese monster style."
I haven't played Pokemon in years & yet I recognised some of these characters immediately. Far less cute & far more disturbing in this inky-style. I particularly liek your take on Ditto, which for me was a seriously annoying character but now he's sinister & annoying
